Announcement of a new SUV model, the prestigious car manufacturer Maserati, has attracted great attention, as journalists, as well as potential customers. Specifically, in September 2011, company introduced the SUV concept, called the Maserati Kubang. This concept was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show, 2011. After more than three years, the company has issued a formal statement about the start of sales of its SUV. The serial model will be named Levante. 2016 Maserati Levante will be in showrooms in late 2015. Originally, it was announced that the production of this model will take place on US soil. However, the company changed its plans. The production Levante SUV model, will take place in the Mirafiori factory in Italy.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of existence and work, Maserati has announced new models for customers around the world. Namely, in addition to the aforementioned Levante SUV model, the market will reach some other new models of the company. 2016, the market will occur serially, Maserati Alfieri Coupe model. A year later, will begin selling of Alfieri Cabrio models, as well as the successor Gran Turismo Coupe model.
2016 Maserati Levante – Design and Specs
As a basis for the 2016 Maserati Levante SUV model, is served Maserati Ghibli model. Certain elements and circuits, this SUV, shared with limousines Ghibli and Quattroporte. The design of vehicles, most resembles the Kubang concept, upon which the model was also created.

In addition to these two petrol engines, customers will be available, and the version with a diesel engine. Under the hood diesels will be located 3.0 L V6 turbo-diesel engine with 275 hp and 600 Nm of torque. With all engines, is predicted an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 drive system. 4×4 drive system is labeled as Q4, and has been specially modified and adapted for vehicles with higher ground clearance.
