News on the successor to the Cadillac SRX crossover SUV, are not new. But many, eagerly expecting the company to introduce a new model. The new crossover SUV will be called 2017 Cadillac XT5. Heir to the popular Cadillac SRX model will feature upgraded design. The new model will be based on a new C1XX/Chi platform. The transition to the new platform will mark the beginning of a new generation of models.
2017 Cadillac XT5 will feature upgraded design, compared to the outgoing SRX model. The new vehicle design will make the vehicle look more cohesive in relation to the SRX SUV. 2017 Cadillac XT5 will have a prominent radiator grille, new design front and rear lights and a new roofline and sporty dual exhaust system. The headlights will be positioned vertically, while the tail lights will be set at an angle. The roof line will be slightly tilted towards the rear of the vehicle.
Cadillac announced that their models for 2016 will feature upgraded systems. Vehicles of this brand will feature new upgraded CUE infotainment system. The new system will bring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Also, this system will get a more powerful processor and upgraded Surround Vision function and a new navigation system. These upgraded systems are expected in the 2017 Cadillac XT5 models.
2017 Cadillac XT5 Specs
Cadillac has not released a complete specification of the new XT5 models. However, according to some information, and the range of power units will include 2.0-liter and 3.6-liter V6 engines. First, four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine with turbo charger will develop around 265 horsepower. Aspirated 3.6-liter V6 engine will develop approximately 335 horsepower.
