Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 – Redesign and Release

In early April, 2015, at the Auto Show in New York has introduced a completely redesigned Mitsubishi Outlander 2016. Somewhat outdated design of vehicles was a frequent target of critics. However, the company has implemented more than 100 design and engineering promotion for the new model. Now, the redesigned Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 looks completely different compared to the previous model.

The new Outlander has adopted the Dynamic Shield the front end with a massive radiator grille. With a new look of grille, perfectly are incorporated new headlights. The new radiator grille adorned with a large quantity of chromium. Outlander 2016 received, the restyled front fenders, upgraded and modified rear bumper, improved look rear light clusters. Also, the vehicle was set to restyled alloy wheels, size 18”.

Information and entertainment system has improved, and there are new steering wheel, and a large number of decorations cabin. Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 was received and improved seats with better head restraints. All in all, the new Outlander is significantly improved compared to the previous model. Whole new design and all promotions are inspired Outlander PHEV Concept-S model. Outlander PHEV Concept-S is 4760 mm long, 1840 mm wide, 1700 mm high, and the wheelbase is 2670 mm.

2016 Mitsubishi Outlander – US Specs

Customers in the US market, 2016 Outlander will be offered with the two different petrol engines. The first is 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 166 horsepower and 219 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a new CVT (continuously variable transmission). This transmission provides an improved acceleration, delivering improved performance and torque. The second, more powerful engine is the 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine. In combination with a 6-speed automatic transmission, this engine delivers 224 horsepower and 291 Nm of torque.

On the offer is 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. This hybrid model propels a system that combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine reinforced by two electric motors and Li-ion batteries. The total power of the system is 200 horsepower and 337 Nm of torque. With just one tank, the vehicle travels a little less than 900 km, with an average fuel consumption of 1.6 l/100 km.
